With our last sprint we were able to integrate some new features into dirico. Our former media library - from now on Digital Asset Management (DAM) - has received an immense update.

In addition, events can now also be entered in the strategic information when creating ideas.

Digital Asset Management (DAM)

With our new Digital Asset Management, previously the media library, files can be managed even better. The following new functions are available:

Create Asset Variants

When a photo is cropped in the DAM for a network, it is known as a "variant". However, this is no longer displayed as a separate photo in the overview, as previously usual, but is located "behind" the original photo and can only be selected by clicking on it. This applies to an unlimited number of variants and thus provides a better overview.

Information in assets

It is now possible to store terms of use for assets, for example when stock photos are used with a limited duration. In addition, the metadata of uploaded assets is automatically transferred. These can be extended if necessary. References, i.e. the contents in which the asset was used, are also displayed here. We have also retained the option to write comments on an asset.

Folder structure

Our new folder structure also provides a better overview. The hierarchy of the folders is clearly visible, they can be color-coded and provided with a detailed description.

Pinning function

The most important folders can be pinned using the pinning function at the top so that they are displayed first. However, this function only applies per user and is not transferred to the entire team. Individual assets can also be pinned and then collected in a standard folder and displayed to all users.

Idea creation: Add events

Also new with our update: When creating ideas, you can now store events in the strategy area in addition to the previous information.

This makes event management in dirico even easier.

A little tip: When updating, you may encounter problems with old files from time to time. If this is the case, it helps to empty the cache in the browser.

If you still have feedback or wishes, please let us know! You can simply send us a message via in-app chat or e-mail.
