Note: You had to renew your password for dirico, but don't know why? This is because we have raised our internal security standard. Previously, our password regulations required only 8, now they require 10 characters.

Sidepanel: Copying tasks and events

Within tasks and events opened and edited using the sidepanel, a new feature has been unlocked: the ability to copy these objects.

This option will save you time when you want to create multiple tasks or events with a similar strategic orientation.

The function can be found in the menu bar above the objects in the three-dot menu.

Mentioning educational institutions in LinkedIn posts

In addition to company profiles, educational institutions can now also be tagged using the mention feature in dirico.

To do this, simply click on the three-dot menu in the LinkedIn editor, select the Mention option and then enter the URL of the educational institution.

Staffbase: Automatic translation of content

To make it easier for you to work on multilingual Staffbase posts, a translation tool has been integrated into the editor that allows you to have content translated into all desired target languages in seconds.

To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Create the basic post (preferably in English, see tip)

  2. Click on the + to the right of the source language

  3. Select the additional language in the popup and activate the slider at Copy content

  4. Select the additional slider at Translate automatically and click the Add button

  5. The previously created base post will be translated and displayed in a new language tab in the editor

Of course, you do not have to use the translation function, for example, if you work with translators. In this case, just leave the slider from step 4 disabled and only the original, not translated, text will be transferred to the editor of the new language tab.

Our tip: For best results, we recommend starting with English-language posts when using the built-in translator.

Note: The translation function must be activated by Staffbase. This is a paid feature that you can request from your Staffbase Customer Success Manager.

Automatic transfer of all available languages for Staffbase content

Also new with this update in terms of creating and scheduling Staffbase posts is the import of all languages that you also natively host in Staffbase.

For this purpose, the interface of the Staffbase editor has been slightly adapted.

You still add a new language as usual, but after clicking on the + a popup opens where you have to select the language.

If you have activated the translation function (on the part of Staffbase), the popup expands after selecting the language and activating the Copy content slider by an additional field in which you can trigger the automatic translation.

Email notifications for published Staffbase posts

To ensure that as many employees as possible see published Staffbase posts, email notifications can now be activated.

To do this, first create the Staffbase post in the editor as usual and click the Activate email notifications slider below the title screen (all languages).

Staffbase posts that have the switcher turned on will now have email notifications sent to them.

Learn more about the activation of email notifications here.

Upload of larger attachments for Staffbase posts

To allow you to include larger images and videos as visuals of Staffbase posts, we have increased the upload size from 80MB to 4GB.

Office Online Integration: Using Word documents in the briefing area of topics, stories and content

To use already existing Word briefings in dirico, you can easily use Word documents within the strategy area of topics, stories and content with the Office for Web integration, that is part of the M365 integration.

To do this, click on the briefing field of the dirico objects mentioned above, where you can choose between three options:

  • Drag & drop Word document (from your device)

  • Create new Word document

  • Select existing Word document (from dirico DAM / OneDrive)

As soon as you have connected a Word document, it can be opened in a new tab with one click and edited in it. Note that opening in a new tab is necessary for editing, as opening in dirico only gives the "read-only" option.

Detailed instructions for integrating Word documents can be found here.

In addition, with the Office Online integration, all files of the types Excel and PowerPoint, which are located in the DAM, can also be opened and edited in the Office Online version.

You also have the option to enable Split View for Word documents.

Note: Currently we are facing problems with Word files that contain a large number of images or large images. Microsoft is already working on a solution for this problem. For this reason, the function is not automatically available, but will be rolled out step by step. If you already want to use the feature, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

A little tip: When updating, you may encounter problems with old files from time to time. If this is the case, it helps to empty the cache in the browser.

If you still have feedback or wishes, please let us know! You can simply send us a message via in-app chat.
